Use "Hide Printer"

Select Printer Settings
Scroll down to Manage > Select Hide Printer

If you are referring to HP Smart / HP Connected,
Sign in >
HP Smart / HP Connected – Sign in / Create Account
Select Account Dashboard
Select Printer
In Printer Options > Select "Remove Printer"

If you want to remove an unwanted / obsolete printer from your Dashboard / Device List,
remove the reference to the printer.
