I am good with that, but what do I specifically take a hammer to?  My understanding is that anything you ever copied or scanned stays in memory?  That means sensitive information is still their!

btw. no copies or scans are stored on printer memory

So, what you are saying is there is no reason to worry about sensitive information at all?  On any HP printer?

High-end HP printers have an internal disk drive that stores data and the data is encrypted.

So, excuse me for being dumb.  But couldn't someone get hold of it and hook it up to another computer and get that encrypted info?  I might be paranoid, but would rather error on the side of caution! How would you remove that disk drive?  What would it look like?
