I couldn't access the Advanced sector via Control panel as I right clicked on the printer icon and it only came up with General / Hardware / and Web Services.

None of these offered the Advance option.

I however unchecked the Print document properties in your second option and this did eliminate the printing of the file destination etc which was my issue.

Unfortunately, now I am only able to print B/W and not colour.

Can you help me again.

You are welcome.

I do not recognize the "can't print color" issue as being related to the change in Word.  From your description, that is the only change you have made.

In my experience, choosing to not print the document properties (in Word documents) has naught to do with whether the file is printed in color.

Places to look for color setting include (and may not be limited to):

  1. How to document to set / adjust driver settings
  2. Troubleshooting document to resolve black / color print issues

Driver Settings

A full explanation of how to find / set / adjust settings in Properties / Preferences is available in the "how to" document.

Category How to > topic Print > subject list Instructions & Settings

:Arrow_Right:  Print Driver Settings Guide (Windows)

Read all Sections, including: Color and black & white settings

General Example - Details are model dependent

Printing_Preferences_A5_1APrinting_Preferences_A5_1A

NOTE:

Word > Print > Printer Properties (this is the method used in Word to reach the "Printing Preferences" print dialog).

Diagnostics and Troubleshooting

If the issue is related to the printer failing to print color ink, known solutions are provided here:

I can offer the following limited suggestions:

If the "etc" means to say that document / file properties print with every job, regardless of the software used to create / view / submit the document / image content to the printer, it is likely the setting is something under control of the printer infrastructure (Properties / Preferences).

For example,

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Right-Click on your printer > Printing Properties > Advanced

If a Separator page has been set in place, it will print to "separate" each job sent to the printer.  This is similar to a "Fax Cover" sheet.

If the issue is restricted to certain document types, then the underlying cause might be a setting in the software.

For example, Office Word provides the option to print the document properties when the file is printed.

Disable document properties:

File > Options > Display

Section Printing options

UNCHECK Print document properties

OK

Hi there,

It seems that I don't have a colour or B/W option in my Document Properties box.

I gather that I need to uninstall and reinstall the software and driver downloads.

Is this correct?

Sorry to keep on bothering you regarding this.
