I have 3 printers still showing up in the print and scan doctor. They have been unstalled from the Control Panel but are still on the Product List.

Please advise how to uninstall from your list.

Assuming some recent version of Windows, try / consider:

Preparation – Restore Point

Before making any changes to your system, always create a Restore Point!

  • Document help:

System Restore XP OR System Restore W7 OR System Restore W8-W10

  • Create Restore Point

Stop all programs:  Browsers, games, Applications, etc.

Control Panel > icon view > System > System Protection

Click (Highlight) your main disk (C) > Select Create a Restore Point

Remove Software

NOTE:  If the printer software is already "uninstalled", start at 1B - continue as necessary.

1A. Uninstall printer software from Programs and Features / Apps and Features.

If you need help, see: Uninstalling the Printer Software (Windows)

1B.  Remove device from Devices and Printers

Control Panel > icon view

  • Open Devices and Printers
  • Right-Click on printer > Remove Device

     If necessary, continue...

1C.  Remove printer driver files from Print Server Properties

  • Use one of the following to open the Print Server Properties dialog window

Press Windows key + R (Opens Run window)

  • Type printui /s /t2
  • Click Enter or OK

OR

Open Control Panel > icon view

  • Open Devices and Printers
  • Left-Click any printer to highlight
  • Click "Print server properties" in the ribbon at the top of the window

Find and remove the printer(s)

  • Click tab Drivers
  • Left-Click / Select (highlight) the printer (to be deleted)
  • Click Remove
  • OK (to save changes and exit menu)

1D.  Restart the computer and log in

I have followed your info. When I looked at the properties in the Control Panel the print drivers are not there to delete. Here are some snipping photos. Please advise.

I don't know -- the Doctor apparently has it's own method of detecting what is going on.  ??

Maybe...

Open Control Panel > icon view

Open Devices and Printers

Left-Click any printer to highlight

Click "Print server properties" in the ribbon at the top of the window

Tab Drivers

Left-Click / Select (highlight) the printer (to be deleted)

Click Remove

OK (to save changes and exit menu)

You could try removing the existing copy of the Doctor > Restart the computer and log in >

Install a new copy of the Doctor program.
