Hi @SJ9591

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The error code 0x61011bed on your HP Officejet 6700 printer typically indicates an issue with the printhead or the carriage. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot this problem:

Step 1: Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer by pressing the Power button.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet and then to the back of the printer.
  5. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Step 2: Check for Paper Jams

  1. Open the ink cartridge access door and carefully check for any paper that might be jammed inside the printer.
  2. If you find any jammed paper, gently pull it out without tearing it.
  3. Close the ink cartridge access door and try printing again.

Step 3: Clean the Printhead

  1. On the printer control panel, touch the right arrow to display additional options.
  2. Touch Setup and then touch Tools.
  3. Touch Clean Printhead and allow the printer to complete the cleaning process.
  4. Try printing a test page to check if the error is resolved.

Step 4: Reinstall the Ink Cartridges

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. Open the ink cartridge access door and wait for the carriage to become idle and silent.
  3. Carefully remove the ink cartridges from their slots.
  4. Inspect the ink cartridges for any damage or leaks.
  5. Reinsert the ink cartridges into their respective slots ensuring that each cartridge is securely in place.
  6. Close the ink cartridge access door and check if the error persists.
