Product: photosmart 8150
Operating System: macOS 10.12 Sierra

I bought an HP photosmart 8150 printer recently and tried to install it but it isn't working. I have a mini mac and used the identical model of printer for about 10 years with no problem.

 I'm guessing that the one I just bought has a driver used with windows.

  I want to remove the windows driver  so I can install a driver for my mini mac. How do I remove the old driver?

  Also, can you recommend a driver for my mac?

Hi,

Your printer drivers are shipped via Apple Software Update.

Try installing below drivers package from Apple:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

 

Once completing the installation, power on the printer and connect it to your Mac, then open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners and click the plus sign.

Select the listed printer and ensure the printer model is listed within the Use drop-down menu, then click Add and try printing.
