Welcome to the HP Support Community!

You do have an option to turn OFF the notifications from the printer to the computer screen. However, it may still be displayed on the printer screen. Let us try these steps:

On a Windows computer:

Option 1: Go to Control Panel > Devices and printers > Highlight  HP OfficeJet Pro 8710  >  Print server properties (at the top) > Advanced tab

Make sure Both the boxes are unchecked (see pic below)

Option 2: If you have an HP Full-featured software installed on the computer.

Open the Printer assistant by clicking on the printer icon on the Desktop

Click "Estimated Ink Levels" icon

In the Toolbox tab Advanced settings

Under Show Alerts > Uncheck both the options provided

On a MAC :

Go to the Applications folder > HP folder > HP Utility

Once the HP Utility is open select your printer on the left side > Click on Message Center.
