HP Deskjet 1512
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have not been able to find how to scan on my Deskjet 1512. On the box it came in, and on the printer itself, it says 'print, scan, copy'. The unit is only 18 months old. When I checked Windows printers on my PC, scanner was listed, but when I clicked on it, it said it was unavailable. How do I find the scanner and put it to use? I have worked for hours contacting HP and even Best Buy, but I have gotten nowhere, and nobody seems willing/able to help.

Internet connection is wireless.

No recent software or driver changes.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that you wanted to know how to scan from your HP Deskjet 1512 All-in-One Printer.

Don't worry as I have a few steps that should help fix this issue.

You need to first install the full feature software and then scan from the unit.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Scanning from the Computer (Windows

Let me know how that works.

I hope you have a good day ahead.
