Hi @mroussin4
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It seems like your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M227fdw is experiencing a printing issue, possibly due to an invalid configuration or error. Let’s troubleshoot step by step to resolve this:
1. Check for Error Messages
- Look at the printer’s display panel for any error codes or messages. These can provide clues about the issue.
2. Verify Connection
- Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Use the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer’s control panel to reconnect if needed.
- Wired Connection: If using a USB cable, check that it’s securely connected to both the printer and your computer. Try a different USB port or cable if necessary.
3. Restart Devices
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for 2-3 minutes.
- Restart your computer and Wi-Fi router as well.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
4. Update Printer Drivers
- Outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model to download and install the latest drivers for your operating system.
5. Clear Print Queue
- On your computer, open the Devices and Printers menu.
- Right-click on your printer and select See what’s printing.
- Cancel all pending print jobs to clear the queue.
6. Perform a Factory Reset
- Access the printer’s Setup Menu and look for a Restore Factory Defaults option.
- This will reset the printer’s settings and may resolve configuration issues.
7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool from HP’s website. This tool can diagnose and fix common printer issues automatically.
8. Test Printing
- Try printing a test page from the printer’s control panel or your computer to check if the issue is resolved.
