HP OfficeJet 7110 Wide Format

Our company uses the HP 7110 as a network printer.  This is our second unit, we sent the first one back because of the same problem.  All the lights on the printer are blinking simultaneously, making it look like a Christmas tree.  I have tried to troubleshoot this and every time, it comes back with the same problem.

If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, I would greatly appreciate the help.  Thanks.

@JPSRE, Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I read about how your Officejet 7110 seems to think it's Christmas with it's display of blinking lights, and I wanted to reach out to share my ideas with you.

I have found the following troubleshooting link that I would like for you to see. Find the combination of blinking lights in the guide and try the steps. If they do not help resolve the issue, then lastly I would recommend calling phone support to discuss a replacement printer or upgrade. All of the info is below!:) If you have any problems, let me know and I will help you.

Tip: Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to a wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors.

Thank you for trying to help me with my "Christmas lights" on the 7110 printer.  I have worked through those troubleshooting tips and they do not seem to help.  I also seen your tip about plugging it directly into an outlet, bypassing power strips & surge protectors and it is directly plugged in.  I don't know what else to do.  As I had mentioned before, this is the second unit we've had the same issue with and we received the 2nd one on 08/28/15.  We have been dealing with this issue for quite some time, but now it will not print at all, just shows all blinking lights at the same time.

Will HP send a replacement, preferrably another model that prints larger-sized paper?  I'm pretty much fed up with this one.

Thanks.

Hey there JPSRE:)

I am unsure of what exactly will be offered for your options with HP phone support. Your best bet would be to give them a call and see what models are available to you.

If you have any issues reaching them, let me know 🙂

I understand it's a bit late to reply but I had the same problem and found solution that works for me.

By posting my solution, maybe I can help somebody with same problem.

My solution is to disable the Auto Off shut down.

I was able to do it only using OS Windows; did not find solution for OS MAC.

Inside the HP app in Windows the is a setting to disable the Auto Off.

The problem is that in case of loss of power, the setting needs to be redone.

Ciao.
