HP Officejet Pro 8023
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Good day,

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro which i have been working on for the last week or so. It is stuck on the printing alignment page screen since a week ago. I have replaced all the cartridges with original HP cartridges, the problem still persists. I am able to print from the printer whilst it is displaying the printing alignment page screen albeit a bit slower than usual. I have tried everything to solve this including taking the printer apart and cleaning it inside and out. I have also installed the HP smart App and tried to reset it to defaults there without any luck (It says the printer is busy). One thing I have realized while on the App, I have realized that the Printer has a Scanner Error fault displayed on the Smart App, could this be related to why it is not printing the alignment page?

Hi @Moepedi,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are facing issues with alignment.

If you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, as a last resource, let's perform a semi-full reset to restore and see if that works.

The reset instructions are specific to your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instructions to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name, or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
