Hello,

The HP LaserJet pro m404dn multifunction printer displays the message “A problem has presented with a critical system file. A printer update will be installed to fix this problem”. I've read some wizards on the forum, and tried some suggested solutions, but the printer still doesn't work. I have completely removed the application and tried to reinstall it but the printer is not detected (LAN or USB), so the application installation cannot be performed. The printer cannot be accessed using a USB connection either.

 

I am desperately looking for a solution.

Your model number and description do not match. The M404 is a single function monochrome printer not a multifunction. Can you clarify what product you have please.
