hp Officejet 6950 won't print or copy in black (using new HP inks)

My printer won't print or copy in black. Other colors work fine.

Inks are new and original HP.

Tried all troubleshooting solutions, including cleaning printheads / aligning etc.

@marev_rod1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print in black. Let us try these steps:

Check the ink levels, clean the printhead up to 2 times, and print a quality report as shown in this document - Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues

If the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Hello @Kumar0307,

I have tried all the steps you propose and the problem still persists, so I am afraid it is indeed a hardware issue.

Thank you for your effort!

Hi @marev_rod1,

If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps!
