Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that after replacing the cartridges on your printer, it is not printing. I would like to help you resolve this issue.
However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,
Are you getting any error message while printing?
Is the printer connected directly to wall outlet?
Meanwhile
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector and printer.
- Turn on the printer.
Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed
The printer might display an error if the ink cartridges are not correctly installed. Remove the ink cartridges, check them for any plastic tape, reinstall the ink cartridges, and then try to print again.
-
Turn on the printer.
-
Open the ink cartridge access door.
The carriage moves to the center of the printer.
-
Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
-
Gently press down on the ink cartridge to release it, and then pull the ink cartridge out of its slot.
CAUTION:
Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.
-
Inspect for and remove any protective tape from the contacts.
CAUTION:
Do not try to remove the copper electrical strip.
-
Hold the ink cartridge by its sides with the contacts toward the printer, insert the ink cartridge into its slot, and then gently push the ink cartridge until it snaps into place.
NOTE:
Install the color ink cartridge on the left and the black ink cartridge on the right.
-
Repeat these steps for the other ink cartridge, if necessary.
-
Close the ink cartridge access door.
Try to print.

Let me know how it goes.

hi sandy,
i dont even know how to explain what else went wrong the last few days.
i bought a HP notebook because i thought thatvwould / should work well with an HP printer...
NOW they both dont work and i could not access any emails, all apps went crazy and started throwing me out every few seconds. NOW it cant do an importat update because it has not enough space, or so says the netbook... how big arevthese microsoft updates???
because the netbook is for my private use i wanted one with very little harddisk and went and bought an excellent external harddrive with 3TB.
i have been using HP forever and i never had to contact any customer support, well, once i spilled my coffee and had to have a new keybard put in - but that doesnt count as a real problem!
Now, let me answer your questions fro, the printer problem:
yes, i performed quite a few rresets, thec printer also has it's own fully working socket. it woont even print a test page, itg just stands there and blinks...
ink cartridges installed
i took them back out checked, there is nothing that looks out of place, no leftover tape, nothing else looks like its blocking anything, no lumps, no bumps... nothing leaking...
they look like always when i buy new cartrudges. i did everything exactly as i'm suposed to, they even make that little satisfying clicking sound that lets you know all is well - but sadly nothng is working anymore.
there is one thing that i noticed, the most blinking comes fom the little orange lightn next to the three colour dots at the bottom left corner of the digital display. i filmed that and tried to sent you the film but it wont let me do it in this forum
the display is also only switching on and off and showing me geometrical shapes?
i have never had this happen before, i have no idea how to react.
what shall i do?
help me please.
