Hi @Sa565,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 3050 J610 printer is no longer displaying the pop-up window for an "Out of Paper" error on your Windows 10 (64-bit) system, even though the condition still occurs, here are some steps you can take to resolve or work around the issue:

1. Check Windows Notification Settings

Sometimes, Windows may suppress printer notifications:

  • Go to Settings > System > Notifications & actions.
  • Scroll down to "Get notifications from these senders".
  • Make sure HP Printer or HP Smart is enabled.
  • Also, ensure "Show notifications on the lock screen" is turned on.

2. Reinstall or Update HP Software

The pop-up is often managed by HP's software:

3. Use HP Smart App for Alerts

If the pop-up is no longer appearing via Windows, the HP Smart app can still notify you of printer issues:

4. Manually Clear the Out of Paper Error

If the printer shows the error on its display, but no pop-up appears:

  • Reload the paper tray with clean, flat paper.
  • Press the Cancel (X) button on the printer to clear the error.
  • Try printing again.

If the printer still doesn’t pick up paper, follow HP’s official guide to:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
