Everytime I go to print my printer is paused. I can go into the print queue and unpause it and then the documents will print but then next time log in and go to print, the printer is automatically paused again!
How can I have it default set to un-paused?
This happens to other users as well. It doens't matter what is being printed.
Please Help!!!

Hi,
thanks for trying the steps. It seems like the drivers for the printer are not working properly in Windows.
Let us try to install the inbuilt printer drivers in Windows. Please refer to this link to know how to install the inbuilt printer drivers in Windows.
NOTE: When you reach a point where it gives a list of manufacturers and the printer drivers to choose from, then please select the drivers for HP Deskjet F4235 All-in-One Printer and continue with the installation.
Let me know the outcome. All the best! 🙂

Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.
I understand that you have an HP Deskjet F4235 All-in-One Printer and it pauses when you try to print something. You go to the print queue and unpause it to make it work. But after logging in the next time the issue repeats. I read that this happens to other users as well. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
I would like to know the following information to assist you better:
- Does the printer pause while making a copy?
- Did any software changes or updates take place while for the printer recently?
Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:
- Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This is a free tool for Windows to help resolve printing and scanning problems.
If the issue persists then please uninstall the printer drivers from the root level and then reinstall them back using the following steps:
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
Please download and install the drivers from this link.
I sincerely hope this fixes the issue. Keep me posted. Cheers! 🙂
