Try these steps:

Power Cycle the Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off the printer and the computer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and any USB or network cables.
  • Wait for about a minute.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.
  • Connect any necessary cables and restart the computer.

Check the Connections:

  • Ensure that all cables between the printer and computer are securely connected.
  • If you are using a network, check your router or switch for any issues.

Reset the Printer:

  • On the printer's control panel, perform a reset by navigating to settings and selecting the reset option.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Uninstall the existing printer drivers/software from your computer.
  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your HP Envy 4500 model.
  • Install the new drivers following the instructions provided.

Check for Paper Jams or Cartridge Issues:

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams.
  • Ensure the cartridges are correctly installed and are not empty.

I hope this helps.
