I just got my printer and was excited to try to use it to print pictures so i went and got the hp advanced glossy photo paper. I followed the instructions on the printer and got the paper all set up and the prtiner on the right settings for the paper I was using. I went to print the pictures on my computer and put the settings for the paper how they needed to be but after they printed they came out very green and dark I dont know if thats how they come out with this printer but I have tried researching all i can and as far as I can tell no one else seems to have this problem. I put the paper in the correct way and have tried everyting i could if someone could please help me that would be great!

Hi @bella16,
Welcome to HP Forums,
I understand you are not happy with the print quality you are receiving from your printer when you print photos. Glad to help.
Which application are you using to print?
What the Operating system installed on your computer?
Recommend you to check the print quality settings again and reduce the contrast settings.
In the print settings if HP Easy Color is checked, uncheck it and try selecting Photo (sRGB) color profile.
Try to print from a different application.
Change the print quality from best to normal and try.

I have tried everything that you suggested and none of it has worked so far I tried to print a quality diagnostic test and I noticed the magenta is not showing up so maybe that could be the problem? I have run both cartridge cleanings on the printer and the megenta is still not showing up I am going to try to go in and clean it myself and see if it starts showing up. If I can get it to work I will let you know and see if it helps the coloring on photo printing. @Chimney_83

Thanks for the reply, did you check the ink levels of the cartridges? Do you get any error on the printer screen?
Try a different magenta cartridge and if the issue persists, please contact our phone support for assistance.
Let me know how it goes.

Hey everyone figured out the problem! The ink cartridge I had in my printer had something wrong with it replaced it with a brand new one and now the pictures are coming out great! Thanks Chimney_83 for posting those articles for me thats what helped me find out what was the problem with the printer!
