My Hp envy is flashing E6. I have unplug it, restarted the router and then plugged in the printer. I have hid it on the app and tried to add it as new, but it is not available on the app now.
Why?
Is there a way to still use this printer or do I have to buy a new one?

I understand you are getting an E6 error on your HP ENVY 6452e printer often points to a communication issue between the printer and your network or an issue with the printer’s internal hardware.
Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve this issue before considering a new printer:
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and leave it unplugged for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in, and turn it on.
Check for Network Issues: HP printer setup (Wi-Fi network)
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is stable and functioning. Since you've already restarted the router, also check if any other devices can connect to it properly.
- Make sure that the printer is close enough to the router to get a strong Wi-Fi signal.
Reconfigure the Wi-Fi Setup:
- Try connecting the printer to Wi-Fi again. On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings and ensure it is connected to the correct network.
- If the printer is not showing in the HP Smart app, try using the printer’s control panel to select the wireless network and re-enter the Wi-Fi credentials.
Reinstall HP Smart:HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
- Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 PC to ensure it is up to date. Sometimes the app can get out of sync with the printer and a fresh install can help.
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor:HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. This can automatically detect and resolve many common printing and connectivity issues.
Firmware Update: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check this through the HP Smart app or the printer’s settings menu.
Check Printer for Internal Issues:
- The flashing E6 error could also indicate an internal issue with the printer itself (e.g., a hardware malfunction).
