Hi @Lafabian

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code "0xc19a0040" on HP printers usually indicates a problem with the ink system. Here are steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for a minute.
  • Reconnect the power cord.
  • Turn on the printer.

Clean the Printhead:

  • Go to the printer control panel.
  • Touch the right arrow to display the second navigation screen.
  • Touch the Setup icon (wrench/spanner).
  • Touch Tools.
  • Touch Clean Printhead.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printhead cleaning process.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Make sure that all ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
  • If any cartridge is low or empty, replace it with a new one.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Disconnect any USB cables.
  • Wait for a couple of minutes.
  • Reconnect the power cord.
  • Turn on the printer.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure that there are no obstructions in the carriage path. Open the printer and check for any foreign objects that may be blocking the carriage.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
