Hi @Lafabian
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code "0xc19a0040" on HP printers usually indicates a problem with the ink system. Here are steps you can try to resolve this issue:
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Wait for a minute.
- Reconnect the power cord.
- Turn on the printer.
Clean the Printhead:
- Go to the printer control panel.
- Touch the right arrow to display the second navigation screen.
- Touch the Setup icon (wrench/spanner).
- Touch Tools.
- Touch Clean Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the printhead cleaning process.
Check Ink Levels:
- Make sure that all ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
- If any cartridge is low or empty, replace it with a new one.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Disconnect any USB cables.
- Wait for a couple of minutes.
- Reconnect the power cord.
- Turn on the printer.
Check for Obstructions:
- Ensure that there are no obstructions in the carriage path. Open the printer and check for any foreign objects that may be blocking the carriage.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
