Hi @andres68,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how frustrating it is when your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M181fw throws a 50.2 Fuser Error, and restarting doesn’t help, especially when you're just trying to get some work done. You're not alone, and I’m here to guide you through this.

Steps to Try Before Service

1. Power Reset

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from any surge protector or extension cord.
  • Plug it directly into a wall outlet.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

This step is crucial, as surge protectors can interfere with the fuser’s power draw.

2. Check Toner Levels

  • Low toner does not cause fuser errors, but if the toner is critically low, it may affect print quality or trigger other warnings. You can replace it later, but it’s not the root cause of this error.

3. Try Printing a Configuration Page

  • If the printer boots up, try printing a configuration or test page from the control panel. If it fails again, the fuser is likely faulty.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
