I am trying to install NEW HP tri color and black XL cartridges but the screen keeps saying "The following ink cartridges must be replaced."  I DID replace them..It won't recognize them.  Now what?

Hi @Janananna,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that you get a "The following ink cartridges must be replaced." message on your HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer even after replacing the cartridge.

This issue could occur if the electrical contacts on the cartridge or the printer are not working.

Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.

And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Cartridges Error

Let me know how this works.

You have a good day ahead.

Thank you for your reply.  I did each step as instructed and it did not fix the problem.  Looks like I have to get a new printer.

Very unhappy!
