hp officejet 7500 e910
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, dear support group. I have an A3+ HP officejet 7500 e910 printer and I have a problem after it is automatically updated and then the device is reset.

At one point, my hp officejet 7500 e910 suddenly updated automatically, without my knowledge, since it was connected to the network. After that, problems with the print head began, for some reason he suddenly stopped seeing it periodically, although everything was fine before that.

I tried to perform a complete reset of the printer settings, after which I was greeted by the initial setup window and... I just hung up on the animation where the installation of the printhead is demonstrated. It does not react in any way to the removal/installation of the printhead, its replacement or anything else. And all this IMMEDIATELY after the update. There was probably a critical error in it.

After searching the Internet, I came across similar topics. This means that not only I have such a problem, but also many other owners of the hp officejet 7500 e910 printer.

Please DO NOT OFFER me options with cleaning the printhead, replacing it or replacing cartridges, resetting the printer (turning it off and on) or something similar. I tried to do all this, my printhead is working properly, there are problems in the printer software

Other people in their topic asked to give them an installation file with the very first firmware version that the printer was supplied with many years ago, but for some reason the support service refused to provide them with the OLD firmware version. I also have no opportunity to contact the local HP support service, because such printers are no longer discussed due to the fact that they are outdated. Especially since I live in Russia.

Therefore, I ask you very much...

Please give or help me find the installation file with the oldest firmware version for the HP officejet 7500 e910 printer. I don't need new updates, I need the software that was originally on it and worked properly before the ill-fated update.

My current firmware version (as far as I think) is emp1fn1206ar (OJ7500_E910_R1206A.exe will keep the same version, I have not found an older one).

Hi @acronomi65,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are getting an error message printhead error on your HP Officejet 7500A Wide Format e-All-in-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges?
  • Was there any paper jam or carriage jam issue on the printer recently?

While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Update the printer firmware

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
  • Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

If the issue persists, then please follow the steps mentioned in this document: HP OfficeJet Printers - 'Printer Failure' Error

If the issue still persists and if you think it is caused because of the firmware, we can definitely try a SemiFull reset to restore the printer back to its original settings.

I'm sending out a private message to assist you with the next course of action.

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
