Hi @Melody1313,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you're experiencing with your HP OfficeJet 8015e. Let's try a few more troubleshooting steps to get your printer working again:
1. Basic Troubleshooting
Check Power Source:
- Ensure the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the wall outlet.
- Try a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the current outlet.
Power Reset:
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it is still on.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then reconnect it to the printer.
- Turn on the printer if it does not power on automatically.
2. Firmware Update Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Sometimes, firmware updates can solve startup issues. Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can update the firmware via the HP Smart app on another device if the printer won't start.
3. Hardware Check
- Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure the cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and reinsert them to ensure proper contact.
- Check for Paper Jams:
- Look inside the printer for any paper jams or obstructions that might be causing the issue. Clear any found obstructions carefully.
4. Perform a Hard Reset
- Disconnect All Cables:
- Unplug all cables connected to the printer, including the power cord.
- Hold Down the Power Button:
- Press and hold the power button on the printer for 15 seconds.
- Reconnect Cables:
- Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.
