hp officejet pro 6968 printer failure 0x6100004a

I keep getting the same 2 errors. The first is a paper jam. I followed all the instructions that HP has suggested in regards to fix this and none of them work.  You should know that there never was an actual paper jam. Second is printer failure 0x6100004a error. Like the paper jam I have tried to fix this in the same way by following the directions that HP has suggested for a Hard Reset on the printer but I am having an additional problem that does not seem to be happening to the others.  The ink cartridge carrier does only moves half an inch to the left and that's it. I’ve tried to move by hand and it won't budge, I've even used force when trying to move it also nothing. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

@dtomassi317, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Since the ink carriage is stuck, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue with the printer.

Perform the steps mentioned in this document to clear a carriage jam. To resolve printer failure error on the printer, perform the steps from this document.

Let me know how this goes.
