hp photosmart 2610 all in one printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my  hp  photosmart 2610  needed  new ink cartriges and  I purchased from Target shop in White Plains ny  a HP original color cartridge H95  and a HP original black cartridge HP94. Both cartridges have a valid expiration date and the paper packages mention the cartridges are OK for my Photosmart 2610  printer.

I installed the 2 cartridges and to my regret  I started to get a printer screen message " Remove and check color cartridge"

which I did several times  and still I get the same error again and again.

I used the HP print doctor software to try to solve the problem and it did not help either.

I use a USB cable for my printer.

What can be done to fix this error/problem. Thanks

@mizrahi,

A warm welcome to the Hp support forums and a good day to you. I have reviewed the post. It will be a privilege to assist you.

  • Did you try the old color cartridge and check if it gets accepted without error messages?
  • Did you try cleaning the cartridges?

For now, try these steps:

Now check if the issue gets fixed. If it continues, then clean the ink cartridge contacts and check if it gets fixed.

Ignore the error message and try to continue. If it still persists, then the color cartridge is faulty. Replacing it should do the trick for you.

This should work as long as the printer is not faulty. Don't buy any ink cartridges yet.

I will send you a private message to assist you with the next course of action. Check your forum private message box in the upper right corner next to the bell icon.

Good luck and keep me posted about the developments. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution as it will help several others with the same issue and give the post a Kudos for my efforts to help. Thank you and have a great week ahead. 🙂
