Hi @hankster59,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The message "there is a problem with your HP Smart account" on your HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer can be related to several issues. Here are some steps you can follow to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Check HP Smart App Status:

  • Ensure you are logged into the HP Smart app with the correct account. If you're using multiple accounts, make sure you're using the one linked to your printer.

Update the HP Smart App:

  • Make sure the HP Smart app is updated to the latest version on your device. You can check for updates in the app store relevant to your device.

Sign Out and Sign Back In:

  • In the HP Smart app, sign out of your account and then sign back in. This can refresh your connection to the account.

Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the internet. If the connection is weak or unstable, it may affect your account access.

Restart Your Printer:

  • Power off your printer, unplug it for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

Re-add Your Printer:

  • In the HP Smart app, try removing the printer and then adding it back to see if that resolves any account issues.

Reset HP Smart Account:

  • If the problem persists, consider resetting your HP Smart account password, which can be done through the HP Smart app or on the HP account website.

After trying these steps, check if the error message has cleared.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
