i have never had issues (over many many years) with my printers printing from OpenOffice. today?!? no go. the little printer icon that pops up in the doc (MAC) does not even appear. we may have had a power outage in the night, as my computer was off (not turned off)....but i have no idea if that is part of/is the issue. i have gone to HP.com and when i put in my serial # from the printer, it won't accept it (i KNOW it is the correct one). sooooo after an hour there, here i am. i am at a total loss, as a total non-techie person.......am i just overlooking something obvious? i am going to either have a BIG cry or toss the desktop out the window in about 15 minutes. i am......i am loosing it. no if and's or but's about it......i totally need this to work as i run a small biz and won't be able to without this working. any help is SO appreciated!!
thank you!!!

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Does this only happen from this application or all applications? Are you able to copy?
Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:
