Hi @SW1944

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining that—I'm really sorry your iPhone isn’t printing even though it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi as your HP Envy 5660. It’s frustrating when everything looks right but nothing happens after tapping print.

Let’s walk through a few steps to help restore smooth wireless printing:

1. Confirm AirPrint Compatibility and Setup Your Envy 5660 supports AirPrint, but it must be properly initialized.

  • Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone.
  • On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Settings > Wireless Summary and confirm the connection.
  • Restart both the printer and your iPhone to refresh the network handshake.

2. Check for Firmware Updates Outdated firmware can block AirPrint communication.

3. Reset Network Settings on the Printer This helps clear any stale connections.

  • On the printer, go to Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings.
  • Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi using Wireless Setup Wizard.

4. Reconnect Your iPhone to Wi-Fi Sometimes the phone connects to a guest network or switches bands.

  • Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iPhone.
  • Forget the current network and reconnect manually.
  • Ensure you're on the same 2.4GHz band as the printer (some printers don’t support 5GHz).

5. Try Printing from a Different App Some apps don’t trigger AirPrint correctly.

  • Open a photo or document in Safari, Photos, or Files.
  • Tap the Share icon > Print, and select your Envy 5660.
  • If the printer doesn’t appear, tap Select Printer and wait for it to show up.

6. Use HP Smart App as an Alternative This app offers more control and diagnostics.

Please try these steps and let me know how the printer responds. I truly hope this brings back seamless wireless printing from your iPhone. If it still doesn’t respond, I’ll be here to help you dig deeper.

If my response helped, please mark it as an Accepted Solution It helps others and spreads support. 💙 Also, tapping "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" makes a big difference! Thanks! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
