just setup my deskjet 4175e printer. howerver the info light is on and it says i am not connected to the computer. how do i fix this>

I understand the info light on your HP DeskJet 4175e All-in-One Printer is on and it indicates that the printer is not connected to the computer, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to fix this issue:

 

  • Check Connection Cables: Make sure that the USB cable or network cable (if you're using a network connection) between your printer and computer is securely connected at both ends. If using a wireless connection, ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • Restart Devices: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Try restarting both your printer and your computer.

  • Check Printer Status: On your computer, open the Control Panel or System Preferences, depending on your operating system, and navigate to the Printers or Devices section. Check if your printer is listed there and set as the default printer. If not, try adding the printer again.
