Hi @Casper28,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When the information light on your HP printer is blinking and displaying an envelope and ink symbol that won't clear, it typically indicates an issue related to printing or ink cartridges. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Check ink levels: Make sure the ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Access the printer's control panel or software on your computer to check the ink levels. If any cartridges are low or empty, replace them with new ones.
  • Verify cartridge installation: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed. Open the printer cover, remove the cartridges, and then reinsert them securely. Check for any obstructions or protective tape on the cartridges that might need to be removed.
  • Clean the cartridges and printhead: Ink residue or debris on the cartridges or printhead can cause printing issues. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the cartridges and printhead. Typically, there is an option in the printer software to perform a cleaning cycle.
  • Restart the printer: Power off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 30 seconds. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can often resolve temporary glitches and reset the printer's internal components.
  • Update printer firmware: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer model. If updates are available, follow the instructions to download and install them. Firmware updates can fix bugs and improve printer performance.
  • Reset the printer: If the issue persists, you can try resetting your printer to its default settings. Refer to the printer's manual or the HP support website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings you have configured.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
