Jeet-Singh,
Thank you. My question was a symptom of the impenetrable mystery of the HP models. Despite problems wih a few models I have used OfficeJet models for perhals 20 years.
1. It is very frustrating and financailly wasteful to have to discard new unused ink cartidges on each model change. The printers in the paper to which you directed me, whihc is not useful, appear to be obsolete or obselescent, and therefore would not help shenchosing a new printer.
2. My 8620 topped with a printhead error message. No retailer stocks them. A few eBay/Amazon sellers offer hem but at costs twice a cheap[ prnter and with slaow delivery. , which looks like unacceptable planned obselescence.
3. It is also very difficult to follow any logic in the model sequences. The 8620 was a higher number than the previous model but in my local stores the obvious replacemetn seemed to be the rather smaller (good) 6970. It would be useful to know what the model plan is
