Each ink cartridge has 4 copper contacts that sit on 4 small pin like contacts in the printer. One of those pins got slightly bent somehow and the printer says that cartridge is "damaged or missing." I can move the pin back to it's straight position with a tiny screwdriver, but when I release it it goes back to it's bent position. I think the lack of contact right there is causing the error message, which also cannot be bypassed to even use the scanner. Is this fixable?

Hi @blafo
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the ink replacement.
If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
Have a great day!
