Officejet Pro K550. I have changed the ink cartridge and put in a brand new one. The tool box shows that it is full of ink but a message comes up 'change expired magenta cartridge'. The cartridge is shown as 99% full but the printer will not print at all. Is there any thing I can do to disable this checking process?? Thanks for any help.

Hi Bryan,
I tried to reply to your other message, but it failed. Your printer is listed on the webpage that explains ink expiration as being one that allows you to "override."
HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads
The instructions at the bottom of the page indicate that you can "continue printing without replacing the ink cartridge, by following instructions on the printer, in the user manual, or in the ink cartridge expiration message on the computer screen."

Thanks very much for your response. Using the information that you provided I have now found the guidance to allow the printer to work with the expired cartridge. Its great to be able to search out the experts to obtain assistance.
