Does HP still sell printers with the ink jets on the ink cartridges?

Hi Steve, yea I prefer the IPH based printers myself. We still manufacture them. One of the most popular models would be the Envy 4500 series, but we also have newer releases like the Deskjet 3700 series (the world's smallest all-in-one printer)

Hope this helps

Hi @SteveB17

If you are asking if we still manufacture inkjet cartridges with integrated printheads (IPH) then the answer is yes.

Hope this helps

No, I was asking if you still made printers that used ink cartridges with integrated printheads.

I guess the answer is yes.

The reason I'm interested is because in my experience, printers that use ink cartridges that contain the ink nozzles rarely, if ever, get plugged nozzles.  In rare situations that they do, a replacement cartridge fixes the problem.  And sometimes soaking the nozzles in water can unplug them.

Printers that use cartridges that do not contain the nozzles, get plugged nozzles often.  Often the only fix is to throw out the printer and buy a another one.

Thanks.  It's good to know the IPH printers are still being made.

I'm just planning for the future.  My Photosmart D5160 is still working well.   I don't use it much but when I want it, it works.

It seems every couple of years it stops feeding photo paper.  I wonder if maybe the rubber rollers are deteriorating .  However I clean them with distilled water and Q-tips and they start working again.

You're welcome Steve

Yea the D5160 is a nice sturdy printer alright. With excessive use you do just need to do a cleanup of the rollers every now & again. Glad you're happy with it 🙂
