Hi @Biplavmehta2020,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you’re using an HP Ink Tank 319 printer with Windows 11, and you were printing using the Manual Duplex (Flip on Long Edge) setting. One side has been printed, but after a restart or interruption, you're unsure how to resume and print the other side of the pages.

Important Update: The HP Ink Tank 319 does not have automatic duplex (double-sided) printing. It supports manual duplex printing, which means you flip the pages yourself, and the printer will print the second side.

Steps to Print the Second Side (Manually)

Since the printer was restarted mid-way, it won’t automatically resume duplex mode. You’ll need to reprint the second side using a manual method.

🔁 Option 1: Reprint the Remaining Pages as Duplex (Manual)

Here’s how to manually finish the second side:

  1. Note the number of pages already printed on side one
    (e.g., pages 1, 3, 5...)
  2. Open your document again
  3. Go to Print > Printer Properties > Duplex Printing
  4. Choose:
    • Manually Print on Both Sides
    • Flip on Long Edge
  5. In the main print settings, select:
    • Pages to Print: Only even pages (e.g., 2, 4, 6...)
    • Reverse page order: If available, check this box
  6. When prompted, flip the pages as directed:
    • Usually: Flip the stack like a book, keeping the top edge as the long edge
    • Place them back in the input tray (printed side facing up, top edge first)
  7. Continue printing — this will finish the reverse side correctly.

Tip: Use Word or a PDF Reader’s Built-in Manual Duplex Option

Most programs like MS Word or Adobe Reader have a “Print on both sides manually” setting. It simplifies the process:

  • Select: File > Print > Print on both sides manually
  • The software will pause and prompt you to flip the paper stack

Alternative: Use the HP Smart App to Guide You

  1. Install or open the HP Smart App
🔗 HP Smart - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store
  2. Choose your printer and open the print job
  3. Look for manual duplex printing or print on both sides
  4. The app may give you step-by-step flipping instructions

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
