HP Officejet Pro 6830 printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a message that the printhead was damaged so I ordered a new one from HP.   I installed it following the online instructions and installed new ink cartridges.  Turned the printer on and now have a message "carriage jam"   and says the carriage cannot move and there is an obstruction.  The print carriage does move and there is absolutely no paper or any type of obstruction.  I don't understand why I get have this message.

Also, when I turn on the printer the print cartridge slams to the right side before it stops at the proper possition on the bar.    Message comes up again "carriage jam".      Why is the cartridge slamming... it used to glide on the bar slow and easy.
