@Mathieu_1984

There is apparently something different either in the software or in the settings.

I recently helped another member fix a "shrinkage" of the content in an Avery template (from the UK?).  The underlying cause of the problem remained a mystery.  Different exact issue and a different printer -- but the solution may work for you as well.

Avery Filing Labels - Template 5366

Procedure - Print Labels Actual Size

Make sure you have installed / updated:

Adobe Reader DC

(Side Bar:  Your printer software needs Adobe Reader DC installed / updated even if you do not ordinarily use the program.)

If you are using the downloaded Word template (.docx), consider:

Office Word

Download the template - open in Word

If necessary:

Enable editing

File > Convert (If necessary to change the format to .docx)

Layout > Margins > Narrow

Set the font and other textual setups

Edit / Add content to each label

File > Save the document to your computer under a name of your choosing

Without closing the document,

File > Save-As > Save the document as a PDF file

PDF

Open the PDF document in  Adobe Reader DC

Click the print icon

Under Properties

Paper Size = Letter  (or the size as found in Word > Layout > Size)

Paper Source = Tray 1 (as opposed to leaving "automatic")

Paper Type = Brochure, Cardstock, or "some" form of thicker paper

Print on both sizes = OFF / None

Check each tab and all settings

Click back to tab Printing Shortcuts

Optional:  Click Save As > Create a custom shortcut to use again later

Click OK to exit Properties / Shortcut settings

On the main PDF print menu

Under Page Sizing and Handling

Click box Size

Select Actual Size

Select Orientation = Portrait

Print the file

NOTES

  • Use plain paper to test

If you don't like the results, if the fonts are weird, things look skewed, print the document as an image:

Click the Print icon

Adjust the settings in Properties and in the main PDF print menu

Click Advanced > Select to print the document as an image

Design and Print > Save to PDF > Open PDF file and print

  • If you are using the Avery Design and Print software for PC / Mac, the program can Save and then open the file as a PDF document - the option to do so is selectable after you click Print.  Once the document is opened as a PDF file, the printing instructions are the same as shown.

Thanks for your help

but your solution is time wasting by saving my template as a pdf to then after print it.

I have luckily found a solution to the probem myself but i do not understand how on earth it would do that.

What i did is i tried to print on a brand new sheet of file labels and then magicly it was right on the spot, so i did a second try to see if it would work and then no it was to high again and off the label.

So i figured that when i had something on the first label sticker at the top of the sheet it printed at the right spot, so i did a few test and every time there is something to be printed in the first label at the top of the sheet all the other printing fall into the right place.

so now on i will never use my first sticker and allways print a dot (.) on it just for the other print to be at the right place

I havent tried with other template yet but it works with the avery 5366 model

it is weird but it works

Thanks for your help again

What a stupid but extremely easy solution!

HP Get your act together.

I was able to print these labels fine to my color laserjet M452 but my brand new OfficeJet Pro 8720 was always high and off the label.  Your solution is the BOMB!

Thank you so much!
