Product: HP LaserJet Enterprise M608x

I have a m608x that over in our commercial department.  The other day it show maintenance kit low so we installed a new maintenance kit in the printer and it didn't reset the maintenance kit.  It is still showing low.  

 

WE used a genuine HP maintenance kit (J8J87A ) and today we put another HP brand kit (HP L0H24A) and it's still showing low.  We are starting to think the problem is not the Maintenace kit but the printer.  Anyone have any insight to this or what I can do next.   I find it to believe that 2 maintenance kits would be bad.    These kits are running around $$380-400 a pop and I try to keep at least 2 or 3 kits on the shelving because we have about 4 of these printers through out the company.
