HP OfficeJet 5745 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I get a message that something is wrong with the printer, and to turn it off and back on. Eventually I get to the point where the display is all blue, has an 8-figure code (a different code every time) and an icon that looks like a power button. I've had the three icons to the left of the display flash, and when I touch one, they all disappear. And the blue wi-fi light is flashing. At one point yesterday I had the normal display screen, but when I touched it, the screen went back to all blue.

This sounds like a serious hardware problem. Unfortunately the repair cost are probably more than a used printer. Prices range from $40 local pick-up to $100 shipping total.

Try a factory reset if you can get it to show the control panel

The 5740 and 5746 are listed but the 5745 may have the same secret reset

Click here and read this if you need to reset the printer. Or watch the video here for 5750 5756
