Hi @Vipin21
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing color printing issues with your HP printer, specifically that it's printing mainly in magenta. Here are some steps to help resolve this problem:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Ensure that your ink cartridges are not low or empty. You can check the ink levels on your printer's display or through the HP Smart app.
2. Remove and Reinsert Cartridges
- Turn off the printer and carefully remove the color cartridges.
- Check for any protective tape on the cartridges that might not have been removed.
- Reinsert the cartridges firmly and make sure they are seated properly.
3. Run Print Head Cleaning
- Most HP printers have a cleaning function that can help clear clogged print heads.
- Go to the printer’s menu or use the HP Smart app.
- Look for Tools or Maintenance and select Clean Printheads.
4. Print a Test Page
- Print a test page to check the alignment and color quality:
- From the printer menu, find Print Quality Report or similar.
- Check the test page for any missing colors or streaks.
5. Check for Software Issues
- Ensure your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
6. Adjust Color Settings
- If you're printing from a computer, check the color settings in the print dialog box:
- Ensure that you are set to print in color and not grayscale or black and white.
7. Perform a Printer Reset
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
