Hi @chuckd225,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
If the orange light (or attention light) is blinking on your HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer, it typically indicates a problem with the printer that needs to be addressed. Here's how to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Check for Error Messages:
- Look at the printer control panel or your computer for any specific error messages or codes that could indicate the problem.
2. Check for Paper Jam:
- Open the printer's access doors and check if there is any paper jammed inside. Remove any stuck paper carefully to avoid damaging the printer.
3. Check Ink Cartridges:
- Open the ink cartridge access door and ensure that both ink cartridges are properly installed.
- If an ink cartridge is missing, incorrectly installed, or low on ink, the orange light may blink. Reseat the cartridges and ensure they click into place.
- Check if the ink levels are low and replace any empty cartridges.
4. Close All Doors:
- Make sure all access doors (paper tray, ink cartridge access, etc.) are properly closed. A partially open door can cause the light to blink.
5. Check for Wi-Fi Connection:
- If the printer is connected via Wi-Fi and the connection has dropped, the orange light may blink. Ensure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the HP Smart app.
6. Reset the Printer:
- Power off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on. Check if the orange light stops blinking.

If the orange light continues to blink after trying these steps, this could be a hardware issue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
