I have a 2 yr old office jet 4560.  i am trying to install new ink for first time!  Will not install the black one!  I tried putting the old one in and got the same message!  the ink needs to be reinstalled!

@Grammy523, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Are you using HP ink cartridges?

Make sure the plastic tape if any is removed from the ink cartridge before placing it in the printer.

To resolve ink cartridge issues, perform the steps from - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge
