My duaghter sent a new work contract to print yesterday and so far the pinter has printed it out 3 additional times without being asked to - I have looked at the print queue and although it says 1 document waiting there is nothing int he queue.  I have switched the printer off overnight and today have come back to it - switched it back on - printed something else out (so got excited and thought it was resolved) then about 10 minutes after finished printing the new request - started printing the document from yesterday again !!!!

IF the print job is somehow showing up in the print queue (or languishing there), then stopping / clearing / starting the Print Service will fix the problem.

Stop print service, clear the print folder, Start print service

Control Panel > icon view > Administrative Tools > Services

Scroll down, find, Right-Click, and Stop Print Spooler Service

Open File Explorer (formally Windows Explorer)

Navigate to the folder and Delete files from C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS

Start Print Spooler Service

Depending on the software used to create the form / print the form, that software might be still running and grinding on the print job submission.  Check to make sure the software used to create the forum / submit the print job is not still running.

In most cases, a complete shut down of the computer (not sleep) will stop software from continuing to run.

Want to look at what is running?

Right-Click in a clear area on the Task bar > Task Manager

Check items in tab "Processes"

If you are familiar with the details, try / consider

Tab Performance > (at the bottom of the window) Open Resource Monitor

Resource Monitor is a great tool; it is also sometimes difficult to decipher.  If you are convinced there is a bit of software running that is resubmitting the print job over and over, that software will show up somewhere (under CPU or perhaps "Disk").
