There is no USB connection and no movement of cartrdges as in the past? I changed cable, USB location on back of computer, unplugged printer, restarted win 7 computer. Doesn't work also with Mac book pro. Deskjet 1000. Ran HP doctor and only could get to "no connection".
Basically printer light flashes constantly but no cartridge movement.

Thank you.
I had previously viewed the video. The carriage moved easily.
I tried to open the printer to mess around in it. Found no resources to help on the internet. No success.
I found another deskjet 1000 to buy since I had a significant investment in cartridges.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! 🙂 I understand the carriage on your HP Deskjet 1000 is not able to move.
