I'm having 2 problems. First the display screen is pink and I can't print a copy. Also, now when I try to print something from my laptop it makes noise like it;s going to print, but then stops. my printer is out of warranty.

Hi @beckyrdh,

It sounds like you're experiencing multiple issues with your printer. Let's address each one separately.
1. Display Screen is Pink and Shows No Words
Possible Causes:
- Hardware Issue: There could be an issue with the display screen itself.
- Firmware Issue: The printer’s firmware might be corrupted.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the printer HP website and check for any available firmware updates.
- Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Factory Reset:
- Performing a factory reset can sometimes resolve display issues.
Physical Inspection:
- If possible, open the printer and inspect the display connections to ensure they are secure.
2. Printer Makes Noise but Does Not Print
Possible Causes:
- Paper Jam: There could be a paper jam that is not easily visible.
- Print Queue Issue: There might be an issue with the print queue.
- Driver Issue: The printer driver on your laptop might be corrupted.
Troubleshooting Steps:
Check for Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and check for any paper jams. Remove any jammed paper carefully.
- Ensure there are no small pieces of paper stuck inside the printer.
Clear the Print Queue:
- On your laptop, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on your printer and select See what's printing.
- In the print queue window, click on Printer and select Cancel All Documents.
Update or Reinstall Printer Driver:
- Go to the printer HP website and download the latest driver for your printer.
- Uninstall the current driver from your laptop and install the new driver.
Run Printer Troubleshooter (Windows):
- Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Select your printer and click on Manage.
- Click on Run the troubleshooter.
Check Printer Settings:
- Ensure the printer is set as the default printer.
- Check if there are any pending print jobs that need to be cleared.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
