Hi @ET1948

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP ENVY Photo 6255 is stuck in an error state, preventing printing from your Acer laptop. Since other devices might still work, the issue could be related to Windows settings, printer drivers, or connectivity problems

Here are some steps to troubleshoot:

1. Restart Printer & Computer

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
  • Restart your Acer laptop and try printing again.

2. Check Printer Connection

  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your laptop.
  • If using USB, try a different port or cable.

3. Reset the Print Spooler

  • Open Command Prompt (Admin) and type:net stop spooler net start spooler
  • This clears stuck print jobs and resets the printing service.

4. Update Printer Drivers

  • Go to Device Manager → Printers.
  • Right-click your HP printer → Update driver.
  • If updating doesn’t work, uninstall and reinstall the driver.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • HP has a diagnostic tool that can fix stubborn printing issues.
  • Download it from HP’s support page and run a scan.
