I have officejet Pro printers an 8610 and an 8620 but when I print any docuements any text or graphics in a teal colour come out a bright blue.
How can I get these two printers to print the colours correctly?
One printer is about 2 years old and the other about one year old but they both print the colours exactly the same.
Is there some sort of colour correction I can apply?
I have aligned the print heads, used the print doctor to check the printer but still its wont print the colours correctly.
I know it is a colour issue as I have created a word document with text of RGB values (R=0, G=140 & B=153) and the teal still comes out bright blue.
Ink levels are between 50-100% for all cartridges.

Hey there! @kds51h, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand your printer is not printing colors correctly.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Does the issue persist when you make a color copy from your printer?
Please try few steps recommended below.
In the program, you are trying to print from, click File, and then click Print.
The Print window opens.
Open the Properties dialog box.
Depending on the software program, the button might be Properties, Options, Printer Setup, Printer, or Preferences.
Depending on your print job, you might consider modifying the following settings:
Paper Type: If you are printing on photo paper, select the type of photo paper you are attempting to print on.
Print Quality: If you are dissatisfied with the quality of your printouts, increase the print quality. To print more quickly, decrease the print quality. These options typically include Best, Normal, and Draft modes.
Select best from the list.
After selecting the print settings, click OK to apply the settings, and then click Print.
Refer this article to further troubleshoot print quality issues with your printer.
I'll keep an eye out for your response.
I hope you have a great day!

Hi MrRobot,
Thanks for your reply.
Here are the answers to your questions.
Have we made any changes. No, both printer bought a year apart function exactly the same
I can confirm that colours when copying are fairly accurate.
I have tried printing in Draft, Normal and High quality. It makes little difference to the colours.
We are only printing text and graphics not photos so we are using standard white printer paper.
I have followed the atricle instruction adn with the exception of the last two steps (replace the print head & service the rpinter) there has been no change.
I have tried printing from two PCs and an android mobile phone in word, acrobat and paint and google but there is no change

@kds51h, It's great to hear from you again.
I appreciate your efforts for trying out the steps.
As you mentioned the issue still persists after trying out the steps.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers from root level and check if it helps.
In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
Select your HP printer.
Select Uninstall.
In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
Click on Drivers tab.
Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
Select OK.
Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
Install the full feature printer drivers for Officejet 8610 using this link.
Also, install the full feature printer drivers for Officejet 8620 using this link.
Let me know if this works!
Have a pleasant day ahead! 🙂

Thanks for your update,
I have removed all the devices and drives as desribed on 1PC and 1 desktop and reinstalled them from the link you provided however there is no change to the colours. Both printers still print the colour teal as bright blue.

Hi,
as @A4Apollo is out of the office today, I'm replying to you. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.
May I know if you're using original HP ink cartridges or refilled ink cartridges?
Secondly, could you try printing another application and check. Is the printer able to color copy the correct color teal?
Let me know. Cheers! 🙂

The document were trying to print has come from colleagues who print it without colour issues.
The printers do copy the colours with better accuracy.

Thanks but I've already been through all these steps.
If it was just one printer then I can see why you would be asking me to do this again but its not, its two printers from the same HP 8600 series a 8610 & an 8620 bought over a year apart, both with the latest firmware and genuine Hp cartridges with plenty of ink left
Both of these print exactly the same.
I have tried the following:
word from office 365 on windows 10
adobe acrobat windows 10
word on andriod tablet
pdf from android phone
printing it as a jpeg from all of the above.
new ink cartridges
lower quality paper
printing in draft normal and high quality settings.
run through all printer diagnostics, realignment, head cleaning, etc.
Any more suggestions?
