Officejet 4620 makes copies but will not scan (cant find computer).
Tried to reinstall software ... made sure USB cable good (exchange with laser printer I have)
Basically all I use it for is scanning and this makes me very unhappy.
I tried to do the self helf but URL
for these instructions are broken ...next?

@mrdrking I recommend you follow the below steps to enable scan to computer option, considering the copier works as a stand-alone device it confirms that the printer is working fine, it's just a few settings that need to be changed to get this up and running:
To resolve your concern, you may follow the steps below:
- Search Windows for your printer model name, and click the printer name in the list of results. HP Printer Assistant opens.
- Click Scanner Actions, and then click Manage Scan to Computer.
- Click Enable to activate the scan to computer option.
