Hi @Jowelboy

If you have Windows 7, click here to download the firmware update.

There is no firmware update in Linux OS for your printer.

Thank you.

Hi @Jowelboy,

Thanks for the update. 🙂

  • If you're having difficulties performing the Semi-Full Reset, I recommend that you contact HP for help.
  • If you completed all the preceding steps and your product still has an issue, service the product.

I hope you have a great day!

Hi Drakster,

Is there a way of performing the reset (semi or full) via the web interface?

The printer is out of warranty and so far it looks like it's going to cost about £50-60 for an engineer to look at it (whether they fix it or not), so it looks like I'm going to throw it away and buy something else.  Real shame.

Hi @Jowelboy,

No, there is no way to perform the Semi-Full Reset from the embedded web server.

HP may offer you a discount towards a trade-in on a replacement unit. I would contact HP for service options.

Thank you.

Hey, I know this is like 8 months later, but I've had an idea.
The Printer is sat under my desk and it frustrates me that the cost of repair is almost as expensive as purchasing a new replacement.  HOWEVER here is my *brilliant* idea...

HP please send me a pack of genuine *used/empty* cartridges.  I mean, a pack you're going to throw out or recycle because they are spent.  All I need to do is get past the non-genuine cartridge warning.

Once past the "warning" screen and THEN do a reset on the printer and hopefully get my touch screen back and working.

Good idea?  Let me know.

@drakster please see my comment above, thanks.

If you press on the screen the button you want and then with the same hand touch another part of the screen it will work. THANK YOU, BOOM
